Green PCB

Green PCBS are currently the most common and cheapest ones on the market.
Why ?
The main reasons for this are as follows:
1 Green has little irritation to the eyes.
Since childhood, our teachers have always told us that green is good for the eyes, protects them and resists fatigue.
Production and maintenance personnel are less likely to experience eye fatigue when working on PCB boards for long periods of time, and the damage to their eyes is relatively small.
2 The cost is relatively low.
As green is the mainstream in the production process, the purchase volume of natural green paint will be larger, and the purchase cost of green paint will be relatively lower than that of other colors.
At the same time, using the same color of paint during mass production can also reduce the cost of changing lines.
3 When the board is soldered in SMT, it needs to go through soldering, mounting and finally AOI verification.
All these processes require optical positioning calibration.
A green background color is more effective for instrument recognition.
Black PCB

Some people think that black PCB boards represent high-end products, but in fact, this perception is incorrect.
The reason why there is a saying that “color represents high-end or low-end” is that manufacturers prefer to use black PCBS to produce high-end products and red, blue, green, yellow and other colors to make low-end products.
In addition, black PCBS, due to the fact that almost all the surface traces are covered, cause great difficulties in later maintenance, making them a color that is not very convenient to manufacture and use.
Moreover, black PCBS have the highest difficulty in holes, so the yield rate is relatively lower than that of PCBS of other colors. Therefore, the price of black PCBS is relatively higher.
The difference between PCBS of different colors lies in the color of the solder mask applied at the end. If the PCB design and manufacturing process are exactly the same, color will not have any impact on performance or heat dissipation.

A printed circuit board (PCB) is typically composed of solder pads, VIAs, solder mask layers, screen silk layers, copper trace, and various components.
Among them, solder mask is the part of a printed circuit board that is to be coated with green oil.
